How to Plan the BEST Easter Egg Hunt

Easter is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with a classic Easter egg hunt? Whether you’re hosting a small gathering with family or a larger event with friends, a well-planned Easter egg hunt is sure to be a hit with everyone involved. To help you make this year’s egg hunt the best one yet, I’ve put together some top tips and ideas, that have helped me over the years, to ensure your Easter is a memorable one.

Choose the perfect location
First things first, where are you going to have your Easter egg hunt? If you have access to a garden or outdoor space, that’s ideal (if the British weather allows.) However, if you’re limited on outdoor space, indoor hunts can be just as fun! Create a festive atmosphere with some Easter decorations; think bunting, Easter bunnies, and our brand-new Easter egg-shaped decorations.

Have something to collect the eggs in

Make sure each little egg hunter has their own Easter basket or bag to collect their eggs in. Our brand-new Easter bag can be personalised with each person’s initials to create something special that can be taken home at the end of the day.

Easter egg ideas and alternatives
I’d suggest stocking up on more eggs than you think you’ll need – you never know when those greedy grown-ups might want to join in the hunt too! For those looking to offer a grand chocolatey prize at the end of the Easter egg hunt, our Easter tins are a fabulous alternative to the traditional Easter egg. They can also be personalised, making them a delightful keepsake to take home once the day is done.

Where to hide the eggs?

When it comes to hiding the eggs, consider the ages of the children that will be doing the egg hunting. You’ll want easy-to-reach, more obvious hiding spots for the younger children (low branches, out on the open lawn) and more challenging spots for older children (high shelves, inside household objects). Little tip, if you’re having your hunt indoors it’s always a good idea to move any breakables out of the way so they don’t get knocked over in the rush! Another little tip, count the eggs before you hide them! I cannot tell you how many times we have found little eggs around the garden days after Easter is over!

Capture the memories
Don’t forget to capture all of these wonderful memories that you’re creating with your family! Take loads of pictures and videos to give you something to look back on in years to come.
With these tips in mind, you’re all set to plan the best Easter egg hunt ever! So gather your eggs, round up your participants, and get ready for an egg-citing adventure that’s sure to be remembered fondly by all.
Happy hunting!
